How refunds and cancellations work on KaamSet.

Pilot draft. This text has not yet been reviewed by a qualified lawyer in Pakistan. It describes how KaamSet actually works today and is provided for transparency during the supervised Peshawar pilot.
This policy covers refunds for hire-credit purchases and contractor subscriptions on KaamSet. Money moves through our payment providers, so every approved refund has two separate steps: KaamSet submits the refund to the provider, and the provider or bank posts it to your account. Provider and bank posting time is outside KaamSet's control.
A hire-credit purchase may be refunded if the request is made within 7 calendar days of purchase and the relevant credit has not been used to publish a hiring request. Once a credit has been validly used to publish a hiring request, it counts as consumed and is normally non-refundable — the hirer paid for the marketplace hiring request, not for a guaranteed successful hire.
For a 3-Hire Pack or 6-Hire Pack, if some credits were used and some remain unused, only the unused portion may be refunded, the request must be made within the same 7-day purchase window, and the refund is calculated pro rata using the actual pack purchase price — not the single-credit price.
Cancelling a published hiring request does not automatically restore the credit and does not automatically trigger a refund. A single credit must not be recyclable through repeated publish, cancel, restore, publish cycles.
KaamSet may make a one-off discretionary support exception for an accidental immediate cancellation where the job was just published, no worker reasonably relied on it, no worker responded, no worker was assigned, and no meaningful marketplace fulfilment occurred. This is a support exception, not an automatic right, and it is not advertised as one.
A credit is consumed atomically with the hiring request actually becoming open. If KaamSet's system fails and a request never successfully becomes open, no credit is taken — and if one was recorded on a request that never opened, support restores it. If KaamSet cancels or invalidates a request because of a genuine platform fault, the affected credit is restored or the customer is otherwise made whole.
Duplicate or demonstrably incorrect charges are corrected or refunded. Automatic credit restorations that fail are queued and reconciled by our team rather than silently dropped.
Unused credits that have passed their expiry date are not normally refundable, subject to mandatory legal rights or a specific documented KaamSet error. A worker ultimately not being hired does not automatically refund the credit — again, the credit bought the hiring request, not a guaranteed hire.
Subscriptions may be cancelled anytime; cancellation stops future renewal and the current paid period continues until its normal end. There is no routine prorated refund for a partially used month. Two exceptions apply before meaningful paid use: a full refund on the first subscription purchase if requested within 7 calendar days, and an accidental-renewal refund if requested within 48 hours of renewal with no meaningful paid entitlement used in the new period. Once meaningful paid functionality is used during the period — for example paid project capacity, work-order capability, crew functionality, or contractor assignment quota — the charge is normally non-refundable except for billing errors, duplicate charges, confirmed platform failure, rights required by applicable law, or exceptional case-by-case resolution.
Once KaamSet approves a monetary refund, we target submitting it to the payment provider within 2 business days. We do not promise the exact date the funds appear in your account: KaamSet submits the approved refund, and your bank or the payment provider posts it on their own timeline.
Refunding a purchase also revokes the unused credits granted by that purchase, starting with that purchase's lots; the full ledger history is preserved. Chargebacks are handled through our chargeback process — see the Dispute Resolution & Appeals Policy — and an unresolved chargeback balance may place a temporary hold on new purchases until resolved.
